Brooklyn Beckham ignored his parents' olive branch on Father's Day, remaining silent on social media for the second consecutive year as tensions within the Beckham family continue. Victoria Beckham shared a photo of David with all their children, including Brooklyn, writing: 'David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father's Day.' David posted a childhood snap of Brooklyn, adding: 'Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family.'
Brooklyn Stays Silent While Siblings Pay Tribute
While Brooklyn's younger brothers Romeo and Cruz shared tributes to their father, the former photographer posted nothing on social media. His wife Nicola Peltz honoured her own father, billionaire Nelson Peltz, writing: 'Happy father's day dad! i'm so lucky i get to be your daughter, you're the best dad in the entire world.' She added: 'You've taught me to be so tough and to never give up. i love you so so so so much!'
DoorDash Ad Sparks Backlash
Last week, Brooklyn unveiled a DoorDash commercial in which he appeared to mock the rift with his family. In the ad, he said: 'You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It's not like I don't have tickets. Um… it's because… it's a long story.' Fans branded the remarks 'distasteful', accusing him of 'cashing in' on his father's career. Sources claimed his parents were 'inconsolable' and 'shocked' that he would treat their rift as a 'joke'.
Ongoing Family Rift
The feud escalated in January when Brooklyn issued a blistering statement accusing his 'controlling' parents of trying to 'ruin' his marriage to Nicola Peltz. He claimed Victoria pulled out of making Peltz's wedding dress at the last minute and danced 'inappropriately' on him at the wedding. DJ Fat Tony later backed up these claims. Brooklyn also criticised his father David, saying repeated requests to meet were ignored and that he was offered a meeting only on the condition that Nicola was not invited. He recently removed a tattoo tribute to David and has reportedly told his parents to only contact him through a lawyer.
Victoria Breaks Silence
Victoria Beckham addressed the rift in April, telling the Wall Street Journal: 'I think that we've always - we love our children so much. We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be.' On the Today show, she added: 'We support each other through everything that we do. We love our children so much and have always really focused on protecting our children.'
