Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz are reportedly planning to renew their wedding vows in August 2025, with the ceremony set to take place without Brooklyn’s family in attendance. The decision follows what Brooklyn has described as the ‘embarrassment’ of their first wedding in April 2022, which he claims was overshadowed by tensions with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
In a statement released on January 19, Brooklyn, 26, accused his parents of attempting to ‘ruin’ his relationship since before the wedding. He alleged that his mother, Victoria, cancelled plans to make Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute, forcing the actress to find an alternative. He also claimed that his parents pressured him to sign away the rights to his name before the wedding, which he refused.
The couple’s original three-day wedding in Palm Beach, Florida, was attended by 500 guests, including both families and celebrities. However, Brooklyn stated that the event was marred by his mother’s ‘inappropriate’ dance and ongoing family drama. He said the vow renewal is intended to ‘create new memories’ free from such issues.
Brooklyn’s statement also detailed a dispute over seating arrangements, claiming his mother called him ‘evil’ for including both his and Nicola’s grandmothers at the couple’s table. He affirmed that he does not wish to reconcile with his family, stating he is ‘standing up for himself for the first time in my life’.
