Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz-Beckham have been accused of stealing attention from Victoria Beckham after turning up in Paris just as she prepares for one of the biggest events in her fashion calendar.
The couple have spent the past two days living it up in the French capital, documenting their glamorous getaway online and attending some of the city's most exclusive fashion shows. Their timing has inevitably thrown the spotlight back onto the ongoing Beckham family feud, with Victoria due to unveil her latest collection tonight.
Sources Question the Timing
One source said: “For a couple who have made clear they want distance from the Beckham family machine, Brooklyn and Nicola could hardly have chosen a more conspicuous week to be in Paris. It feels bordering on cruel to be swanning around the city knowing how important this day is for Victoria.”
Another friend added: “Brooklyn and Nicola must know that their presence there will get everyone talking. It feels like a calculated move particularly as it's not really clear what the pair's fashion credentials are to be attending these shows in the first place.”
Glamorous Paris Outing
Brooklyn and Nicola have been sharing snippets of their trip with followers, including their arrival at a hotel where they were greeted by bouquets of pink flowers. They later headed to Parisian hotspot Loulou before taking their seats at two major fashion events.
At the Balenciaga show, the loved-up pair were photographed kissing and cuddling while sitting beside designer Pierpaolo Piccioli's dog, Miranda. Brooklyn and Nicola are said to be friends with Piccioli, who designed Nicola's wedding dress in 2022 when he was artistic director of Valentino, after she decided against wearing one of her mother-in-law's creations.
Comments and Family Distance
Speaking at the event, Brooklyn said: “We love Paulo, we love the brand, the space is beautiful and we are very very excited.” Nicola added: “He is such a genius...we are his biggest fan. We love him so much.”
Brooklyn was later spotted holding hands with Nicola at Parisian jewellery house MESSIKA's show. The timing was particularly striking as younger brother Romeo, 24, was attending a party at the Hotel Plaza Athénée, just a nine-minute walk away.
The Paris scenes have echoes of the couple's trip to Saint Tropez, where the wider Beckham family were also present. Despite being relatively close to one another, it is understood Brooklyn and Nicola have not been in touch with any of the extended Beckham family.
One source said: “It's just so sad that this feud clearly goes beyond the immediate family. They would all dearly love to hear from Brooklyn.” Brooklyn has previously made his own feelings clear on social media, writing: “I always choose you, baby.”
