Brooke Hogan has publicly addressed the death of her father, WWE legend Hulk Hogan, who passed away at the age of 71 on 24 July. In a lengthy statement shared on Instagram, the 36-year-old reflected on their relationship, describing a deep connection that transcended their recent estrangement.
“My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments,” she wrote. Hogan emphasised that the media had “convoluted the narrative” surrounding their fallout, insisting there was never a major argument but rather a series of private phone calls about personal and business issues.
Brooke revealed that she and her husband, former NHL player Steven Olesky, moved to Florida to support her father during his health struggles. However, she noted a sudden shift in their relationship, leading her to take a step back two years ago to “protect my heart”. Despite the distance, she expressed peace, stating, “He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him.”
While Brooke has been estranged from her mother Linda for nearly a decade, she confirmed that her brother Nick, 34, remained in contact with their father before his death. She concluded her tribute by thanking fans for their support, adding that Hulk’s life was “one worth celebrating – and always will be”.
