Brandon Blackstock’s daughter Savannah Blackstock Lee announced she is pregnant just a month before the former talent manager died at the age of 48 after a cancer battle lasting over three years.
Savannah, 23, shared the news on Instagram, writing that she and her family have been “keeping a couple sweet surprises”. She revealed that a baby girl is due in early January, and also introduced a girl named Julianna who has already been “one of the greatest blessings to our family”. Savannah already has a three-year-old son, Lake.
Savannah is the eldest of Brandon’s children from his marriage to Melissa Ashworth. The couple also have a son, Seth, 19. Brandon also had two children with his ex-wife Kelly Clarkson: daughter River, 11, and son Remington, nine.
A day before the news of Brandon’s death broke, Kelly Clarkson postponed her Las Vegas residency. The singer told fans she needed to be “fully present” for her children during this difficult time, citing their father’s illness.
Brandon’s death was confirmed on Thursday. A statement said: “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.”
