Bradley Walsh, the popular host of The Chase, demonstrated his genuine character during an off-camera moment with a former co-star, according to actor Ryan Thomas.
Tea-Making Performance
Speaking on the podcast At Home with The Thomas Bro's, Ryan Thomas shared how Bradley Walsh turned a simple cup of tea into a memorable experience. Ryan recalled being in the green room with Bradley, who made him a drink with such flair that it became a full performance.
"He made it the most entertaining cup of tea I've ever had in my life," Ryan said. "He just made the tea but he did a whole like performance with it. It was just like stand up comedy of making a cup of tea, it was entertaining. He can turn making a cup of tea into a story."
Star Quality and Warmth
Ryan, who played Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street, compared Bradley to Hollywood star Jamie Foxx, noting that Bradley possesses a rare combination of charisma, personality, and warmth. He emphasised that Bradley is authentic and devoid of showbiz pretence.
"Every time you see Bradley Walsh, it's personal, there's no showbiz about him. I want people like that to do well," Ryan added.
Singing on The Jonathan Ross Show
The anecdote came after Ryan watched a TikTok video of Bradley performing a Stormzy song on The Jonathan Ross Show. Bradley's rendition impressed Ryan, who noted that the host owned the moment and connected genuinely with the rapper, ending with a heartfelt hug.
"He's got star quality, he's got charisma, personality, he's also got a lot of warmth. You've just got it," Ryan said.
