FBI Assessing Whether to Investigate Brad Pitt Over Incident on Private Jet

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has confirmed it is evaluating whether to launch a federal investigation into an alleged incident involving actor Brad Pitt and his children on a private jet. The FBI told Variety on Thursday that it was “continuing to gather facts” to determine if further action is required.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the Bureau had been notified of “a child welfare incident” involving Pitt on an international flight last week, citing a law enforcement source. The incident allegedly involved “unruly behaviour,” and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is conducting an investigation.

However, the Los Angeles Police Department denied it was investigating Pitt, stating that to its knowledge, no allegations had been made against him. The alleged incident is believed to have occurred on 14 September on a private jet flying from France to Los Angeles.

This development comes days after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple married in 2014 after a decade together and have six children. Pitt later released a statement to People magazine, saying: “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
