A body language expert has identified what may be the first signs of a rift in the Beckham family, following Brooklyn Beckham's recent Instagram statement. Leading expert Judi James analysed a red carpet photo from the launch of Netflix's Beckham series, where she says Brooklyn appeared as a 'human airbag' between his mother Victoria and wife Nicola Peltz.
In the image, Victoria stands at the centre while Brooklyn leans towards her with a social smile, but also places a hand around Nicola's waist to pull her into the lineup. James noted that Nicola looked 'uncomfortable and unhappy', while Victoria seemed to ignore the couple. This contrasts sharply with earlier photos from the premiere of Nicola's film Lola, where the two women posed together looking 'playful, relaxed and deeply friendly'.
James also pointed to other images where Nicola adopts a 'proprietorial wings' pose, traditionally used by David Beckham, wrapping her arms around family members. This suggests a strong desire to bond, with Brooklyn and Victoria leaning into her embrace. A relaxed ladies' outing in Miami further showed Victoria and Nicola as a 'fond double act', indicating earlier harmony before the reported feud.
