Former TOWIE star Bobby Norris has revealed he 'had to have a facelift' after years of filler abuse, admitting he believes he 'might have body dysmorphia'. The 39-year-old reality star said an addiction to filler left him getting a top-up every 12 weeks, causing so much damage that his skin could not recover naturally.
Speaking 12 weeks after his operation, Norris told The Sun: 'I’d abused fillers in my cheeks and around my eyes so badly, and I’d stretched my skin so much it would never snap back. I had an addiction to filler and I think I might have body dysmorphia.' He added that he had reached the 'point of no return' and needed surgery to correct the damage.
Norris, who has always been open about his cosmetic procedures, said online trolls intensified his insecurities. He explained that 'faceless' profiles on social media told him he 'looked like a hamster', prompting him to go under the knife. During an appearance on This Morning in April, he candidly said: 'I’m almost correcting my stupidity with the facelift.'
The surgery, which took place in Turkey, involved a health scare when a doctor warned him he could be 'dead in 12 hours' if a suspected condition was confirmed. Norris dismissed the concern, saying he thought: 'I can’t die. I’m going to Sheesh tonight!' He also revealed he had an upper left blepharoplasty, buccal fat removal, and liposuction under his chin.
