Brandon Blackstock's Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute After His Death

Brandon Blackstock's family has broken their silence following his death, with his brother Shelby sharing an emotional tribute on social media. 'Words cannot begin to capture the tremendous loss our family has endured. Yesterday, we lost a brother, a father, a grandfather, and a son,' Shelby wrote alongside a carousel of family photographs.

Shelby, the younger half-brother of Brandon and son of Reba McEntire, described Brandon as 'funny, bright, and full of life' and said he would be 'deeply missed'. He reflected on their relationship, stating: 'He taught me so much, leaving behind countless cherished memories that I will hold onto forever. For every treasured moment we shared, there are so many more we’ll never get to make together, but I know you’ll still be there.'

Brandon, who worked for Starstruck Management—the company founded by his father Narvel and Reba in 1989—passed away on August 7 after a three-year battle with cancer. In a statement, his family said he 'passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family' and asked for privacy during this difficult time.

Brandon is survived by his children from his marriage to Kelly Clarkson—daughter River, 11, and son Remy, nine—as well as two children from a previous marriage, Seth and Savannah, and a grandchild. His death comes amid ongoing legal disputes from his divorce with Clarkson, who had postponed Las Vegas shows citing his illness.
