Actors Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor have announced that they are separating after 17 years of marriage.
The couple released a joint statement on Friday, saying: "With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate. Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends."
Stiller and Taylor were married in May 2000 and have two children together. They asked for privacy during this time.

Taylor has appeared in several of Stiller's films, including Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Tropic Thunder and the Zoolander franchise.
