Ben Shephard, co-host of ITV's This Morning, publicly congratulated his colleague Nick Ferrari during the Thursday, June 25 broadcast after Ferrari won a TRIC award for Best Radio Talk Show.
Live On-Air Congratulations
During the episode, Shephard and Cat Deeley were joined by Ferrari and Sonia Sodha for the regular newspaper review segment. After a commercial break, Shephard addressed viewers, saying: "Welcome back. Nick joins us today in the studio with Sonia to talk through more of today's stories." He then added: "But first congratulations and congratulations to Mr Ferrari."
Ferrari responded: "Thank you very much." Shephard continued: "Storming the TRIC Awards." He then jokingly asked: "You won sexiest male?" The studio erupted in laughter as Ferrari replied: "I didn't want to... No, you know you got that. Come on." Shephard noted Ferrari celebrated with his team, and Ferrari confirmed: "Absolutely. Absolutely brilliant. Yes there were some of your This Morning friends there as well. It was a great day out and I've never won one, so now we can put that on." Deeley added her congratulations.
TRIC Awards 2026
The Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) held its annual awards ceremony on Wednesday, June 24, honouring excellence in British television and radio. This year marked the first time a category for Best Radio Talk Show was included, with Ferrari winning the inaugural award. The ceremony was hosted by Classic FM's Dan Walker.
After his win, Ferrari posted on Instagram: "Delighted to have won best Radio Talk Show @tricawardsuk presented to me by my good friend @janepmoore. Also caught up with my work wife @ashleylouisejames whilst raising much needed funds for @brightyoungdreams and @refugecharity."
Fans flooded the post with congratulatory messages. One wrote: "Best by far! Congratulations Nick!" Another said: "Congratulations Nick! So deserved too." A third commented: "Absolutely fabulous! Delighted for you!" One listener remarked: "Well done and many congratulations Nick. I listen and enjoy your show every day."
