Jennifer Lopez has sparked fresh concerns about her marriage to Ben Affleck after appearing in a promotional video without her wedding ring. The 54-year-old singer and actress posted the clip on Instagram to advertise her JLo Beauty line, but viewers quickly noticed her bare ring finger.
This marks the first time Lopez has been seen without her diamond wedding band, although Affleck has been photographed without his ring on several occasions. Just days earlier, Lopez was pictured wearing both her wedding ring and a large green engagement ring for a Coach campaign.
The ring-free appearance comes amid reports that the couple’s marriage has been “over for months,” according to Page Six. Other signs include the listing of their $60 million marital home, Affleck living in a rental, and Lopez’s solo trip to Europe. The couple went nearly two months without being photographed together before reuniting on May 16 to watch Affleck’s child, Fin, perform in a school play.
Lopez has largely stayed quiet about the rumours, but was put on the spot during a press event for her film Atlas in Mexico City on May 22. When a reporter asked directly about a potential divorce, her co-star Simu Liu intervened, saying, “We’re not doing that.” Lopez herself simply told the reporter, “You know better than that.”
Another co-star, Sterling K. Brown, defended the couple, saying they were “very much in love” and that Affleck would occasionally read lines with Lopez at home. Lopez and Affleck originally dated in the early 2000s, called off their engagement in 2004, rekindled in 2021, and married in Las Vegas in July 2022.
