The former Disney Channel star rose to fame alongside Zendaya on Shake It Up before abandoning her child star persona and moving into more mature territory. Adult Content Controversy
In August 2020, Thorne revealed that she had signed up to a very popular adult platform and raked in a staggering $2million (£1.8m) during her first week. However, she later issued an apology following the platform's announcement of rule modifications.
The platform revealed they were implementing a price limit on pay-per-view images and extending the payment period from seven to 30 days. She turned to X/Twitter to clarify that she was "trying to help" by providing a "mainstream face" to the platform, attracting additional users and income to the site.
She went on to say that she aimed to remove the shame surrounding sex: "PT1 Remove the stigma behind sex, sex work, and the negativity that surrounds the word sex itself by bringing a mainstream face to it that's what I was trying to do.. I have risked my career a few times to remove the stigma behind sex work, porn, and the natural hatred people spew behind anything sex-related."
"I am a mainstream face and when you have a voice, a platform, you try to use you in helping others and advocate for something bigger than yourself. Again in this process I hurt you and for that I'm truly sorry."
She went on to say that she would be having discussions with the company about the alterations because it was "f***** up".
Provocative Music Videos
"Yeah, it's very sexual content and, hopefully, YouTube is not going to d**k me over. But it's very sexual and it's just too hot. It's so sexy all the way through," is what Thorne said about her song In You and its music video after the video of her previous song got taken down "for several hours".
Bella was hoping the clip, which features adult film star Abella Danger, would go viral as a meme because it was so "gnarly" to watch: "Within the first 30 seconds, there's a shot of me and I put my face between Abella's legs, and I come up and I put all this gloss all over my face. I look so wet and disgusting."

Revealing Her Sexuality
Thorne publicly came out as bisexual on Twitter in 2016 but has since disclosed that she actually identifies as pansexual.

Nude Clap-Back
In 2019, Thorne faced threats from a hacker, who claimed they would release her nude photographs. However, the actress seized control of the situation and shared them herself on Twitter.
She posted: "F*** you and the power you think you have over me. I'm gonna write about this in my next book. Here's the photos he's been threatening me with, in other words here's my boobies."
