Beckhams and Brooklyn in St Tropez Near-Miss

David and Victoria Beckham nearly encountered their estranged son Brooklyn while both parties holidayed in the South of France over the weekend. Brooklyn, 27, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, were spotted aboard Sir Elton John’s yacht, while the Beckhams, fresh from a World Cup appearance, also visited St Tropez after a stint in the Balearic Islands.

Close Proximity

Photographers captured both couples visiting spots just a five-minute walk from each other, risking a potentially stiff reunion. David and Victoria were seen walking hand-in-hand past the sweet shop The Pirates Candies before entering the nearby Cherry restaurant, an Italian-New York speakeasy. Meanwhile, Brooklyn perused racks in Jacquemus and stopped for ice cream at Barbarac, all a quick stroll from his parents.

Brooklyn and Nicola took in the sights of St Tropez, cones in hand, apparently unaware of the proximity. The Beckhams had previously been in Formentera with their other children, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, Harper, 15, and Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.

Rift References

Ahead of the footballing summer, Brooklyn fronted a DoorDash advert that appeared to reference the bitter relations. In it, he says: ‘You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home.’ He then smiles and adds, ‘It’s a long story,’ before tossing tickets onto a coffee table.

The feud turned public earlier this year when Brooklyn shared an explosive Instagram post, saying he has no plan to mend fences with his parents. He is understood to have been estranged for a year and has not acknowledged them on social media, despite his father’s milestones, including being knighted and receiving a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
