BBC News presenter Laura Foster has revealed she was targeted by a "pervert" while recovering from major surgery. The health, science and environment correspondent took to Instagram to share a health update after going under the knife.
Recovery at home
The star has since been discharged from the hospital and is recovering well at home, with her furry friend by her side. Sharing a snap of her swollen foot one week after undergoing surgery, she shared a health update online.
Foster wrote: "One week post-surgery. Not much to say. But seriously, big thanks to everyone who has been in touch and wished me well. Except for the one pervert who felt it was appropriate to send graphic messages. I wish you many reply-all emails."
Makeup-free report
It comes after she reported live from Suffolk without a scratch of makeup on due to "strict instructions" ahead of the big op. The broadcaster reported live from the scene of a breaking news story, where 10,000 Muslims were meeting about a right-wing terrorist plot.
She later told fans: "Was under strict instructions not to wear makeup or any lotions because I was having surgery the next day. Naturally, that's when a major breaking news story happened, and I ended up live on network news."
She shared a carousel of snaps, including her makeup-free look and a shot of one ankle wrapped in a sturdy bandage, while her other foot wore compression stockings.
Support from fans
Her fans and friends rushed to comment on the post to wish Laura well, with one writing: “You look amazing, Laura! Hope the surgery went well.” Somebody else echoed: “Wishing you a speedy recovery to full health, Laura!”
“You always look amazing Laura, with or without make-up! Wishing you a speedy recovery,” another fan posted.
