BBC's Best Wimbledon Pundit: Vote Now for 2026

The BBC has assembled a star-studded punditry team for Wimbledon 2026, with millions of fans tuning in alongside the World Cup since Monday. Viewers have watched Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka, and Coco Gauff compete at SW19, while expert analysis comes from a mix of familiar and new faces.

New Additions and Returning Legends

Four new names joined the line-up for 2026, despite reports that the All England Club pressured the BBC to modernise coverage. No cuts were made. John McEnroe remains in the commentary booth, alongside Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Pat Cash, and Tracy Austin.

Eugenie Bouchard, the 2014 Wimbledon runner-up, joined after successful punditry with TNT Sports and Tennis Channel. Her toned-down style and deep knowledge have impressed viewers. Kyle Edmund, a former top-20 player who retired in August 2025, also contributes to live TV coverage. Jamie Murray, Andy Murray's younger brother, serves as a dedicated analysis expert, using enhanced match data and tactical breakdowns. However, some viewers are unhappy he is restricted to analysis rather than the commentary booth.

Long-Serving Pundits and Viewer Poll

Tim Henman, Laura Robson, and Annabel Croft have reprised their usual roles with regular studio appearances. BBC director of sport Alex Kay-Jelski said before the tournament: "Wimbledon remains one of the defining moments of the sporting year... This summer, BBC Sport’s coverage combines the heritage and prestige audiences expect with exciting new voices... Our aim is simple: to bring audiences closer to each story and moment that defines Wimbledon."

Express Sport invites readers to vote for the BBC's best Wimbledon pundit in an online poll. The coverage includes clips on phones, TV, radio, and live text.
