BBC Star Jules Hudson Breaks Silence After Family Illness

BBC presenter Jules Hudson has broken his silence after cancelling a work commitment due to a sudden and serious family illness. The Escape to the Country star took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video from a punting excursion in Canterbury, reassuring fans he is back on duty after filming with a new couple for the programme.

Social Media Return

Jules wrote: "Well folks, here's a sneaky peak behind the scenes on a recent house hunt in Kent. Rest assured, if you join us on Escape to the Country, it's not all hard work and no play! If you'd like our help finding your rural dream this year, you can apply online at BBC.CO.UK/TAKEPART. See you soon I hope!"

Postponed Event

The post comes two weeks after Jules had to postpone a special event at the Blake Theatre in Monmouth. On 16 June, he told fans: "It's with huge regret that owing to a sudden and serious family illness we've had to postpone my evening this Friday at the Blake Theatre in Monmouth." He added that tickets could be refunded, but a new date had been set for Saturday 12 September. "It's hugely disappointing to have to change plans, but I hope you'll understand on this occasion, and hopefully we can all get together in a few short months," he wrote.
