Lewis Vaughan Jones's Career
The 45-year-old began his career in the Welsh government before switching to television in 2005. He worked at ITN as a journalist covering various issues, then became acting health correspondent at ITV News in 2014, and political correspondent in 2015. He joined the BBC in 2018, presenting on BBC News and BBC World News. He made his BBC Breakfast debut in April 2026 and returned to the red sofa on July 19, 2026, alongside Luxmy Gopal.

Hannah Vaughan Jones is a former news presenter and journalist at CNN International and Sky News. Before Sky in 2007, she worked as a BBC radio reporter in Bristol, a senior producer for the Associated Press, and a TV reporter for Russia Today. She also presented 5 News. At Sky, she was the main weekday presenter on overnight coverage, including Sky World News between 3am and 6am, and also presented daytime shows like Sky News Sunrise. She later joined CNN International to present CNN Newsroom from London.
Personal Life
Lewis and Hannah married in 2015 and live in Twickenham, south-west London. Their son was born in December 2019 after 15 rounds of IVF. BBC Breakfast fans have praised Lewis, with one X user calling him "very professional" and another saying he's "miles better than dad joke Jon Kay."
