England's most infamous fan, Astrid Wett, suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction at a New York sports bar on Saturday, as her World Cup football sticker outfit fell apart during the England vs. Panama match. The 25-year-old content creator was left in just her bra after the sticker-covered top unravelled, distracting fans gathered to watch the game.
Outfit Unravels at Halftime
Wett's daring outfit, made of stickers featuring England players like Declan Rice, John Stones, and Bukayo Saka, was pulled apart by her friends. It lasted only the first half before she was forced to switch to a backup option—the red away kit—for the remaining 45 minutes. England went on to win 2-0, with goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.
Fan-Funded Trip to the USA
The die-hard Chelsea fan is currently in the United States for the tournament, having flown out two fans, Will Roxby and Oliver Bowering, with her. She bankrolled their trip after a challenge from her followers. The trio watched the match together at the sports bar.
Revealing the outfit online, Wett cheekily asked fans: "Can you spot your favourite player?" Supporters were stunned by the top, with one commenting: "It was a great top." Another added: "It looks cute to be honest," while a third said: "Your top is beautiful."
Celebrations and Future Plans
Wett, who has nearly a million followers online, was filmed joining in with a rendition of "ten German bombers" as England fans celebrated the victory. She told the Daily Star that she originally intended to fly only one fan out but agreed to take both after Roxby insisted they come as a pair. "I'm looking forward to meeting them, I've bought them a shirt each and I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with them hopefully to the finals," she said.
