Ashley Roberts Opens Up on I'm A Celeb About Why She's Never Had Children

Ashley Roberts has revealed on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! that having children has never been a priority for her. The 44-year-old former Pussycat Dolls singer shared her feelings during a conversation with campmates Scarlett Moffatt and Sinitta.

When asked by Sinitta if she had any children, Ashley replied: "I don’t have any babies, no babies. It is just not top of the list. I think I have been so driven and travelling, I don’t feel a strong passion." Sinitta responded: "I always say to people unless you really really want it…because it takes everything and it is your life."

Mother-of-one Scarlett Moffatt added: "And too many people become parents who actually shouldn’t be parents." Later, in the Bush Telegraph, Scarlett said: "For me, being a mum has completely changed my whole life, and it's something that I've wanted for so so long. But for other women, it isn't. And I just think good for Ashley, same as good for me who wanted a child, good for Ashley, who doesn’t. We all just have to live our best lives, however that looks."

Ashley, who previously appeared on I'm A Celeb in 2012, also discussed her stance on parenthood on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast in 2025. She said: "It really never has been a priority to me. Even as a kid, I told my mom, ‘I don’t think I want kids, I don’t really care if I get married.’ It wasn’t like I was the girl planning the wedding and seeing the whole white picket fence and all that."

She added: "I kinda kept thinking, ‘Well, maybe when I get older, that will shift,’ and I’m like, ‘It hasn’t really shifted.’ Again, who knows? I think every day, we’ve got to allow ourselves to exist in the possibility of waking up the next day and feeling different. Although, as a woman, we’ve got our biological clock."
