Art Quarter Summer Marketplace Returns to Liverpool's Metquarter with New Weekend Format
Art Quarter Summer Marketplace Returns to Metquarter with New Format

The Art Quarter Summer Marketplace is returning to Liverpool's Metquarter on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, from 11am to 5pm. This free event transforms the city centre location into a hub for independent brands and handmade goods.

What to Expect at the Market

Visitors can browse a curated selection of 29 local artisans offering handcrafted jewellery, gifts, food, and drink. Live entertainment from local artist Lucy Sings will also be featured.

Key Change for 2026

For the first time, organisers have moved the market to a Friday and Saturday format to maximise weekend foot traffic. Organisers Freida McKitrick and Clare Ellis, who have championed fellow local artists since meeting in 2012, hope the shift gives makers more exposure.

The line-up includes whimsical felt decorations from The Felt Factory, intricate crochet accessories from Joyfulso2c, and authentic Brazilian bakes from Le Vechi Sweets.

Freida and Clare said: "The Friday is an exciting new step for us and we'd love for people to come down on both days, meet the makers and find something they love. We can't wait to see everyone there."

The Metquarter Shopping Centre is located at 35 Whitechapel, Liverpool, L1 6DA.
