Ariana Grande to 'step back' from public life amid scrutiny

Ariana Grande is stepping back from visibility after her Eternal Sunshine Tour concludes, her representative has said.

In a statement to People, the singer and actress's rep said: "Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour."

The tour is due to finish in London next month, in September, before the star takes what her representative called a "much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances."

Appearance speculation

Grande has faced widespread speculation about her physical appearance in recent weeks. She was also due to appear in a new London stage production of Stephen Sondheim's musical Sunday in the Park with George.

Her representative added: "She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny."

"This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much."
