Apple Martin, 21, Looks Gwyneth Paltrow's Double in Red Bikini After Graduation
Apple Martin's Red Bikini Photo Echoes Gwyneth Paltrow's Look

Gwyneth Paltrow's lookalike daughter Apple Martin turned heads on Friday as she posed in a red bikini with friends on Instagram, bearing a striking resemblance to her famous mother. The 21-year-old looked stunning in the triangle two-piece, captured sitting in a car wearing a seatbelt just days after graduating from college. With her blonde tresses loose, Apple pouted for the camera while enjoying some downtime following her academic achievements.

Graduation Milestone

Apple recently modelled a cap and gown before graduating from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She took to Instagram last week to share the news, describing the milestone as 'a bittersweet moment.' Her Oscar-winning mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, expressed immense pride, commenting 'SO proud!!' and hitting the like button. Vanderbilt University's 2026 commencement ceremonies are scheduled for May 7-8, 2026, with the main undergraduate ceremony on Friday, May 8, at FirstBank Stadium.

Academic and Career Pursuits

Apple began her studies at Vanderbilt in 2022, majoring in Law, History and Society. Although she has pursued theatre as a member of the Vanderbilt Original Cast and has directed student productions, she is not a drama major. She has also secured a top Hollywood agent at powerhouse agency CAA and has already landed modelling gigs for The Gap and Self-Portrait.

In a past interview with Interview Magazine, Apple expressed her love for theatre 'more than anything.' She stated, 'I would love to do theatre because I adore it so much. I've obviously never done film before, but I've been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theatre kid.' Speaking to Vogue about her earlier plans to attend law school, she explained, 'I was in that rebellious "I don't wanna be like my parents" type of phase.' She also clarified that she does not want to be a musician like her famous father, Chris Martin. 'I don't wanna be a singer. I like musical theatre, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying. I love dancing and I love acting. My dream is to act.'

Addressing Controversy

Apple made headlines after rumours circulated that she had been expelled from school for bullying—allegations she later denied. Addressing the claims on Instagram, she wrote, 'Hi! I didn't wanna respond but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand. I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone. I completely understand ppl not liking me and that is okay! The internet is a place where ppl can share their opinions. But this rumour is completely untrue, I am not that type of person and anyone who is close to me knows that.'

Family Background

Apple's mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, publicly announced in 2022 that her daughter was beginning college. 'My daughter went to college in the fall,' the blonde actress said. Apple's father is Coldplay rocker Chris Martin; the couple finalized their divorce in 2016. Gwyneth also admitted that saying farewell to Apple when she first started college was emotionally difficult.
