Anton Du Beke Shocks Craig Revel Horwood with Takeaway Confession

Anton Du Beke has left his Strictly Come Dancing co-star Craig Revel Horwood stunned with a surprising confession about his eating habits. In an exclusive interview with the Mirror, the former professional dancer and current judge revealed that he "doesn't like the concept" of ordering takeaway food, a principle that Craig found hard to believe.

Anton's Takeaway Stance

Anton explained his aversion to takeaways, saying: "I don't like takeaways, I don't like the principle of a takeaway. I don't like the concept. It seems alien to me. I can't bear all that stuff." He admitted that as a youngster he might have had a Chinese takeaway, but not anymore. "I'd rather just go to a restaurant. No, it is not for me," he added.

When Craig asked if Anton's children ever request takeaway pizza, Anton replied: "Never even utter the words," but went on to say he would not allow them to. This strict approach contrasts sharply with Craig's own dietary indulgences.

Craig's Guilty Pleasure

Craig Revel Horwood, known for his sharp critiques on Strictly, confessed that his guilty pleasure is double pepperoni pizza. "It's bad news because I keep buying them in the supermarket and I keep putting them in the oven and I keep eating them," he said. He admitted that this habit sometimes forces him to wear elasticated trousers when trying to keep weight off. However, he clarified: "I need to stop myself. I don't do it all the time, only on special occasions."

Podcast Revelations

Anton and Craig were speaking on their new Judgemental podcast, where they also discussed their close bond as Strictly judges. Last week, the pair revealed that they often strip in front of each other in the dressing rooms. Anton said: "Of course we work together closely, and it is a very odd sort of thing." Craig added: "We have to actually undress in front of one another. I mean, most people, when they go to the office, they don't take all their clothes off and put other clothes back on, do they, darling?" Anton quipped: "Well, once you've seen Craig Revel Horwood in his underwear once, you've seen him a thousand times."

Upcoming Plans

Craig revealed he is off on holidays to Corfu and Bali soon to get some rest before both judges return to Strictly Come Dancing screens. The pair, along with Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse, make up the judging panel for the popular BBC show.
