Ant McPartlin, 50, expressed his frustration with e-bikes left outside his home by kicking over a row of them, prompting his step-daughters to claim he has "anger issues." The revelation came during the Hanging Out With Ant And Dec podcast, where he discussed his decision to leave London and his Wimbledon home.
Ant McPartlin's Frustration with Lime Bikes
McPartlin told co-host Declan Donnelly: "Have I ever been on a Lime bike? Yes. Why are you so shocked at that, of course I have been on a Lime bike. There was a period where I used to live, people would leave their Lime bikes outside my house. Just outside the gates." He added: "I got so angry and one day, I kicked them all down. I got told I had anger issues by the kids. I don't have anger issues. I was just angry at the people who kept leaving them... there were like, four of them."
Continued Provocation
McPartlin described how the situation escalated: "Then every day I go out and it's as if they knew, it was winding me up. And there would be one parked outside my house every day. I was like, 'I am f***ing sick of this' and kicked it over. But that's not anger issues, I was just angry." When asked if this contributed to his move, he laughed and said: "Yes, I had to move out of London because people were parking bikes outside of my house."
Move to Surrey
In February, McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett swapped their £6 million Wimbledon home for a £10 million gated property in Surrey. The couple lives there with their two-year-old son Wilder and Anne-Marie's teenage daughters Poppy and Daisy from her previous marriage to Scott Corbett. McPartlin's previous marriage to Lisa Armstrong ended in 2018 after more than a decade together.
Fatherhood Changes
The Britain's Got Talent presenter recently reflected on how fatherhood has changed him for the better. He told Dec: "It changes you for the better. All of the sleepless nights, the early mornings, the tiredness is worth it." He also admitted he would consider having more children: "I'd have loads more kids. I mean, I'm too tired, but I would have more kids."
