Ant McPartlin Opens Up About Fatherhood
Ant McPartlin has revealed that becoming a father to his two-year-old son Wilder has transformed his life, admitting that it has changed him "for the better" and that he would happily have more children despite the sleepless nights. The TV presenter, one half of the Geordie duo Ant & Dec, made the comments on the latest episode of Hanging Out with Ant & Dec.
Reflecting on life with wife Anne-Marie Corbett and their young family, the 50-year-old said: "I'd have loads more kids. I mean, I'm too tired, but I would have more kids." His co-host Dec, also 50, who shares daughter Isla, seven, and son Jack, three, with wife Ali Astall, replied: "It's hard work, but, oh yeah, it's lovely though." Ant responded: "It's the best."
How Fatherhood Changed Ant
Discussing how fatherhood has changed him, Ant added: "It changes you for the better. All of the sleepless nights, the early mornings, the tiredness is worth it." The presenter welcomed Wilder with wife Anne-Marie, 48, in May last year and is also stepdad to her daughters, Daisy, 20, and Poppy, 18.
Ant's comments come at a significant time for his former wife Lisa Armstrong, who has finally severed the last remaining tie to their relationship by selling the West London home they once shared. The five-bedroom property, which had been on the market for more than two years, has been sold subject to contract for £3.2 million after originally being listed for £4 million.
Lisa Armstrong Severs Final Tie
A source told the Mirror that Lisa was "delighted that the last remnants of her marriage has been finally put to bed." The sale follows a difficult few years for the make-up artist, whose home suffered more than £1 million worth of damage in a fire in 2023. It also comes after the death of her beloved dog Hurley, who had remained one of the final links between the former couple following their divorce.
Ant and Lisa split in 2018 after more than a decade of marriage. He later married former personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett, while Lisa has continued to build a successful career as one of television's leading make-up artists.
