Pop star Anne-Marie has finally revealed the name of her baby boy, five months after his birth. Appearing on This Morning, the 35-year-old singer announced that her son is called Forever Sugar, with Sugar as his middle name.
Explaining the meaning behind the unusual choice, Anne-Marie said she had gestational diabetes during pregnancy, which inspired the middle name Sugar. The first name Forever comes from a family tradition: her grandmother used to sign off cards with 'always and forever', a practice continued by her mother and sister.
The singer also shared details about her daughter Seven, now 19 months old, whose name is derived from the Turkish verb sevmek, meaning 'to love', and is also her favourite number. Anne-Marie joked that choosing a name was the hardest part, as Seven is so unique that they 'can't just call him Barry'. She described the bond between her two children, noting that Seven treats baby Forever 'like he's her age' and they 'stare at each other'.
Anne-Marie revealed that she and husband Slowthai (Tyron Kaymone Frampton) did not plan to have two children under two, but she believes it was written in the stars. She said she sees psychics who all predicted she would have babies close together or twins, and while it's 'definitely hard', it is 'a beautiful thing'.
