Anne-Marie has spoken about the challenges of juggling motherhood with her music career, describing the experience as 'intense'. The 34-year-old singer, who has been largely absent from social media since the start of the year, admitted she often feels like a 'wreck' and struggles to post about her life.
In a lengthy post on X on Tuesday, Anne-Marie wrote: 'Feeling emotional today. Sorry I been distant. Not sure if you care but I do. I’m working really hard to get this right.' She added that she is 'still figuring out how to be a good mum AND write the best album you’ve heard from me'.
The singer, who has daughter Seven, 23 months, and son Forever Sugar, 10 months, with husband Slowthai, said she misses her fans and hopes they are happy. Supporters flooded the comments with messages of encouragement, telling her to prioritise her health and family.
Since releasing her album 'Unhealthy' in July 2023, Anne-Marie has welcomed two children. In December 2025, she revealed she sought advice from Ed Sheeran on balancing parenthood and a music career, saying: 'Be a parent, it’s hard... I go to Ed for a lot of advice, really about kids, but also about everything.'
Anne-Marie has promised new music this year, vowing to switch up her style. 'I need to make it exciting again... I am going to do a little spice,' she said, hinting at a possible departure from her previous albums.
