Jim Curtis, the Los Angeles-based hypnotist dating Friends star Jennifer Aniston, has listed his $1.5 million New York City apartment for sale after months of rental difficulties. The 1,200-square-foot property in South Seaport features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with views of the Brooklyn Bridge, and has been noted for its resemblance to the iconic Friends building.
Curtis first put the apartment on the rental market in April 2025 for $9,000 per month, but removed the listing weeks later. He re-listed it in June for $10,000 per month until November, when it was taken down again. The property has reportedly been a financial burden, with Curtis paying off a $30,000 lien on 8 December 2025. He also faced missed payments in 2017, totalling $15,242.
Curtis purchased the apartment in January 2015 for $1,277,904, taking out a $992,000 mortgage. It is unclear where he currently resides, though speculation suggests the sale may be motivated by a desire to live with Aniston, as the couple are often seen on dates in New York City.
Aniston and Curtis sparked dating rumours in summer 2025 after being spotted on holiday in Mallorca. On 26 January, Curtis confirmed on the TODAY show that they were introduced by mutual friends. He said, 'We found out that we had mutual friends and we started to just chat. It took a long time. We chatted for a long time, and we became close.'
