Andy Burnham Lookalike 'Mandy Burnham' Asks About Faith

A woman with a striking resemblance to Prime Minister Andy Burnham has gained attention on TikTok, where she goes by the name 'Mandy Burnham'. Chaplain Emma Roberts, 54, has around 1,300 followers on the platform and uses her account @quakerologyemma to discuss religion and politics. She has posed a question for the new PM: whether his Catholicism will influence British politics.

Uncanny Resemblance

Roberts shares similar features with Burnham, including the same haircut, eyebrows, glasses, and smile. She told her story to the media, noting that even her mother remarked on the resemblance. “And my own mother said, ‘For 20 minutes I’ve been thinking the same’,” Roberts said.

Question for the PM

In a TikTok video, Roberts said: “So people are calling me Mandy Burnham, as you know, and it’s really interesting to me because I am commenting on religious issues, spiritual issues, and politics. So the fact that Andy Burnham is a catholic, a non-practicing catholic, I think, is interesting to me. Is that going to change British politics?”

Support for Policies

Roberts, from Swansea, supports Burnham’s tax cut for pubs. She also commented on his social media presence, saying: “I loved his pub snacks video, some people thought that was a bit of a gimmick but I’m all for scampi fries and prawn cocktail crisps. He wasn’t drinking a pint of beer, which was disappointing, but I think there have been other videos of him doing that. But what I am interested in, seriously, is to what extent does his Catholicism underpin his whole approach?”
