Andi Oliver Says She 'Wanted to Kill' Chris Moyles Over Vile Comments About Teenage Daughter

TV chef Andi Oliver has revealed she still harbours anger towards Chris Moyles over a radio segment 25 years ago in which the DJ asked listeners if they would have sex with her daughter Miquita, who was 16 at the time. Speaking to The iPaper, Oliver said: 'Miquita was 16 and he had a phone-in on his show of: “Would you s**g her?” On Radio One. I wanted to kill him.'

Oliver, 62, admitted she still 'kind of' wants to kill Moyles, now 51, and said there are few people she loathes without having met them, but he is one. She never confronted him, believing he would have tried to 'back peddle'. She dismissed the excuse that it was over two decades ago, stating: 'I don’t care if it was the Noughties, when there was that awful lad culture where it was acceptable to talk about women like that.'

Moyles has previously faced criticism for his treatment of young female celebrities. Singer Charlotte Church described his behaviour as 'gross', recalling a countdown on his Radio 1 show to her losing her virginity when she was a teenager.

Last year, Oliver also spoke out about the Gregg Wallace scandal, saying she was 'not surprised' by the allegations and that 'everyone knew' about his behaviour. She criticised the culture that allows such misconduct, adding: 'Somebody should have nipped that s**t in the bud a long time ago.'
