Anais Gallagher has declared herself an 'honorary Welsh woman' by proxy, following her relationship with Welsh actor Callum Scott Howells. The couple attended the BAFTA Cymru awards in Newport on Sunday, October 5, where Howells was presenting.
The photographer and model, daughter of Oasis star Noel Gallagher, said she would now consider herself an honorary Welsh woman, but added: 'Not by birth. My Irish family would be angry to hear me say that, but yeah, of course... A lot of love for the Welsh.'
Callum, who comes from Pontypridd, has been showing his partner around Wales, particularly as he films his new Channel 4 series, Deadpoint, in north Wales. He said: 'So, we're in Snowdonia, but we're kind of all over. So, we are in Dolgellau, Betws-y-coed. But, Eryri oh my god, love it and having a whale of a time up there.'
The pair were also spotted together at Oasis' Cardiff gigs earlier this year, which kicked off the band's Live 25 tour. When asked if the band might take their tour to North Wales, Anais joked: 'If we're really lucky, and we cross our fingers really tight, maybe.'
When asked about future plans, the couple told GQ they would like a quieter life together one day, with Callum saying: 'Get a little farm, maybe.' Anais added: 'I would love to raise chickens. But the one downside of moving to the countryside is there's no SoulCycle.'
