Amy Walsh, known for playing Tracy Metcalfe on Emmerdale, has a personal history that includes a broken engagement to West End star Bradley Jaden. The actress, who joined the soap in 2014, was set up with Jaden by her sister, former Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh. Jaden proposed during a holiday to Thailand in 2018, but the wedding was called off in 2019 when he began a relationship with his Wicked co-star Olivia Kate Holding.
Walsh has since found love with EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith, who plays villain Gray Atkins. The couple, who work for rival soaps, kept their relationship private initially but have since appeared together publicly. Walsh has praised Smith for helping her improve her acting, saying they run lines together and support each other's work.
Despite the distance between filming locations in Leeds and London, the couple maintain a long-distance relationship. Smith's role as a domestic abuser on EastEnders led him to become a Women's Aid ambassador, a cause Walsh appreciates. She has also spoken about how her character's postnatal depression storyline has broadened her understanding of motherhood and mental health.
Walsh comes from a showbiz family; her older sister Sally appeared on Emmerdale in the late 1990s as Lyn Hutchinson, and Kimberley is a singer. Both sisters offered advice when Walsh had to portray childbirth on screen. Walsh has expressed a desire to have children in the future but has no immediate plans.
