Schumer has lost over 50 pounds following a health journey that included treatment for Cushing syndrome, a hormonal disorder she developed around 2024. She revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that online criticism prompted her to see a doctor, who diagnosed the condition caused by steroid injections. The syndrome, marked by excess cortisol, can lead to weight gain and other issues.
After trying various GLP-1 medications, Schumer settled on Mounjaro and hormone replacement therapy for perimenopause. She reported positive results, saying her hair is fuller, her skin is better, and she has more energy. However, she noted that the medication is not covered by insurance unless for diabetes or severe obesity.
Schumer and Fischer, who have a son together, announced their split after seven years of marriage in a social media post, emphasising their continued love and commitment to co-parenting. 'Family forever,' she wrote.
