Love Island star Amy Hart has opened up about her heartbreak as her two-year-old son Stanley suffers from a severe case of chickenpox. The reality TV star, who shares Stanley with husband Sam Rason, admitted it was 'hard seeing him so sad' during a Q&A session with fans on Instagram.
Hart shared an update on Stanley's condition, revealing that while he had been cracking jokes and playing earlier in the illness, he had become increasingly miserable. She explained that many friends and family members commented they had never seen such a bad case of chickenpox, calling her son 'the overachiever'.
The toddler's illness forced Hart to cancel a family holiday just five hours before their flight. She posted a picture of Stanley with a rash on his forehead on Instagram, expressing gratitude that the chickenpox appeared before they reached their destination.
Hart described Stanley as 'a happy kid 99.9% of the time' and explained that she had prepared to sleep in his bedroom to comfort him through what she was told would be the hardest night. She added that they planned to read books, watch films and listen to Tonies if he was up all night.
Previously, Hart spoke about the realities of parenting and her pride in Stanley's social skills and love for life. She has also been open about her hopes to have a second child, saying she and her husband are eager to see if their parenting was responsible for Stanley's chilled temperament.
