American Asks Scots for Wellness Check After World Cup

An American has taken to TikTok in a panic, demanding that members of the Tartan Army complete a wellness check now that the World Cup is over. Stressed that the Scots have disappeared from her For You Page, the user had many questions about the wellbeing of the football fans.

Concern for the Tartan Army

During the World Cup, Scots flooded social media with their antics in Boston and Miami. With the Tartan Army having left a huge impression with bagpipes, beer drinking and traffic cones, many Americans have been experiencing withdrawals since the final on July 19.

Taking to TikTok to express her concern, social media user Ms. B stressed in the caption that she 'woke up at 2am in a panic wondering about the Scottish'. Urging the Tartan Army to check in, she also proposed a trade for products she cannot get cheaply in the US.

In the clip, which has over 32,800 views, she said: 'Scottish people, I need you to check in. We're doing a wellness check here. I'm concerned. It's been a few weeks since you left the United States from your North American food tour and I haven't heard from any of you. You're no longer on my FYP and quite frankly I'm very concerned.'

She then grilled the Scots with questions: 'How is your recovery going? Are you going through withdrawals yet? Because some of you didn't just visit the United States, you consumed it. You landed in America and immediately decided that your vacation was going to be a month long competitive eating challenge. You ate in a day how we eat in a month. Are you still in the bathroom?'

Scots Respond

After asking if the Tartan Army's arteries are still intact, she made a bid to sell off ranch sauce in trade for a bottle of 'H sauce'. She also inquired if the Scots want anything in return for Walker's roast chicken and thyme crisps, which cost her $20 for a small bag on Amazon.

She finished: 'Anyway we really miss you. If we haven't seen you because you're too busy crying in your pillow, salivating from neon cheese gas station taquito withdrawals, we understand. But please let us know.'

Hundreds of Scots flooded the comments section with updates. One wrote: 'There is a heatwave, we are melting and gingers are burning in the streets. We are nearly out of Irn Bru... we are not okay!!!' Another added: 'Someone dropped the god damn sun on us so we are struggling a wee bit.' A third joked: 'All good here. We went to the dentist and she wasn't happy about the build up of sugar.' Meanwhile, another viewer informed: 'We're all good, hen! The only thing we withdrew from was the World Cup, the party itself never stops. We very much appreciate your concern and checking up on us! We miss yous! Cheers/Slàinte.'
