Amanda Owen Love Life: Boyfriend Update After Clive Split

Amanda Owen, best known for Our Yorkshire Farm, has often found her personal life in the spotlight. Here is what is known about her relationships after her separation from ex-husband Clive Owen.

Amanda and Clive Owen’s Split

Amanda and Clive married in 2000 and had nine children together: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmy and Nancy. They shocked fans in 2022 when they announced their separation. In a joint statement they said: “Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and wellbeing of our children.”

Later, Amanda told RadioTimes: “Look, there are two simple facts: if he thought I was brilliant, and I thought he was brilliant, then we wouldn’t have separated. It’s a fact, isn’t it? But, you know what, that’s not unique, it’s just how things are, pressures, all the rest of it.”

Clive on the Real Reason for the Split

When the separation was announced, rumours of infidelity circulated. In 2023, Clive appeared on Lorraine and said the success of Our Yorkshire Farm contributed to the breakdown. He admitted he “handled it very badly” and said: “It was such a change in our lives and I sadly made a right mess of things. I had a massive part to play in our relationship ending. A massive part to play. When all this was going on, here I am ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on.”

Three years after the split, Amanda opened up about “dark days”. She told MailOnline she battled an eating disorder, anxiety and depression. Those close to her feared for her life. Clive recalled it as “the scariest time” and said there were nights he feared he would not see her the next morning. Amanda said: “I just shut down. Physical and mental health are intertwined and anxiety, depression, paranoia, agoraphobia and an eating disorder were all smooshed into one.”

Amanda’s Relationship with Robert Davies

After the split, Amanda began a romance with web designer Robert Davies, who is 22 years her senior. He was a friend of Clive’s. Amanda told MailOnline in 2024: “I never set out looking for another relationship. Rob [Davies] was a friend that Clive and I had both known for a long time. What he offered was conversation rather than confrontation, and Clive knew about it from the very beginning – he actually suggested Rob and I would be a good match. At that point, a few years ago now, Clive was also seeing someone else and was openly dating. It wasn’t a secret, everyone roundabout knew, even the children.”

The romance did not last. Amanda confirmed they had split, adding: “Rob and I were both shattered by the way the media pursued us and reported it, and as a result Rob and I are no longer together or in touch.”

Amanda’s Relationship Update

More recently, Amanda told OK! magazine she is not searching for a new love and would happily remain single. She said: “Relationship-wise, it would take a certain person to be able to cope with the scenario. And my ex Clive still being an enormous part of my life. It would take a good sense of humour, too! Love is honestly not something I’m missing. If it happens, great, if it doesn’t, there’s plenty for me to be getting on with, isn’t there?!”
