Amanda Holden has left fans in hysterics after jokingly asking for help tackling her "out of control" bush. The Britain's Got Talent star, 55, shared the hilarious post on social media, sending her followers into a frenzy.
In her latest video, Amanda revealed her mum and dad had found themselves facing a rather prickly problem at their new home. In the clip, Amanda posed behind her laptop, using the device to cover her modesty while sitting in a negligée, with her legs stretched out on either side of the screen.
Cheeky Plea to Airtasker
But it was the message on her screen that really got people talking, as she turned to Airtasker, an online community platform and local services marketplace which connects people who need odd jobs done with independent workers.
Amanda said: "Dear Airtasker, I wonder if you can help. My mum and dad have recently moved and they have a bank of around 90,000 stinging nettles I need removing."
She then cheekily added: "I'm sat here in my negligée wondering who on earth could help us?" Amanda then hit "send" on her email, seemingly hoping Airtasker could come to the rescue.
Fans and Airtasker Respond
And it appeared to do the trick, with the presenter later revealing that the platform had sent someone to tackle her parents' prickly problem. Sharing an update, she wrote: "Oh my goodness and what an amazing job Airtasker did there is no job they can't do and I'm so relieved and happy for my parents who are still unpacking boxes. This is a weight off their mind and mine."
Amanda then doubled down on the cheeky joke, asking her followers: "Who do you call when your bush is out of control and needs a trim?" She added: "@airtaskeruk saved the day for my parents in their new home."
The post quickly had fans and followers in stitches, with one simply branding it "BRILLIANT". Another responded with a string of laughing emojis, while someone else wrote: "This is brilliant!" Even Airtasker joined in with the joke, replying: "Thanks for trusting our Taskers with your parents' garden, Amanda."
