Amanda Holden has recreated the famous no-underwear scene from the 1992 film Basic Instinct, wearing a white mini dress similar to the one worn by Sharon Stone in the movie.
In the original scene, Stone's character uncrosses and re-crosses her legs during a police interrogation, revealing she is not wearing underwear. The moment became one of the most discussed in cinema history.
Recreating the iconic moment
Holden, a Britain's Got Talent judge, wore a white long-sleeve mini dress that showed off her legs, paired with glamorous makeup and her hair worn down. In the video, she held a pen to imitate smoking a cigarette and crossed and uncrossed her legs.
She also said Stone's line "It's nice". The original clip from the film was played below her version, and the post was captioned: "Some call it Basic Instinct, I call it outfit of the day".
Holden tagged the dress brand, Odd Muse. The dress is available to buy online for £135.
Fans react to the video
Fans responded positively to the video, with several commenting on her appearance. One wrote: "You legend". Another said: "You look beautiful Amanda". A third fan noted: "This woman always looks fabulous wow". A fourth said: "Gorgeous dress you look stunning".
A fifth commented: "Why did you make this video two hours long, Amanda?" accompanied by a laughing face emoji.
Ex-husband's recent comments
The video came days after her ex-husband Les Dennis opened up about their marriage. The former couple were married from 1995 to 2003, and were together for a total of 10 years.
Appearing on the Very Very Sherrie podcast earlier this year, the 73-year-old was asked about his marriage to Holden and their 17-year age gap. Host Sherrie Hewson recalled her reaction to their relationship, telling him: "I remember going to you, 'She's too young what are you doing? You silly old fool'".
Dennis also recalled an encounter with a plumber who visited their home in Highgate. While discussing the Grand National at the time, he said the plumber referred to Holden as a "kid". "So yeah I should've known," he laughed. Hewson replied: "I felt that about you, I think I said it you as well, 'It's not going to work'". "Probably," he laughed. "Everybody said it to each other but nobody said it to me!"
