Amanda Holden and Alan Carr returned to the Spanish region of Andalusia for a festive special of their BBC show, which sees the duo renovate a bed and breakfast in the village of Moclín. The Christmas episode aired on iPlayer, showing the pair hosting a party at their newly-transformed property.
The episode opened with the friends choosing a Christmas tree, leading to their trademark banter. Holden said she would have to be "bossy" about the party arrangements, while Carr joked that when decorating, he is "the opposite of Amanda".
An emotional moment came when they attended a light switch-on celebration in Malaga, marking the start of the festive season in Andalusia. As the city illuminated in gold lights, Holden became teary-eyed, saying she felt like she was at Disney. Carr comforted her, telling her it was amazing and that she loves Christmas so much.
Holden wiped away tears and called her reaction "silly", but embraced the atmosphere, adding she felt like they were in a Christmas movie.
