Amanda and Clive Owen: From Meeting to Split

Amanda and Clive Owen, the stars of Channel 5's Our Yorkshire Farm, announced their separation in 2022 after 22 years of marriage. Despite the split, they continue to work together and raise their nine children at Ravenseat Farm. The couple recently appeared together in the Channel 4 series Our Farm Next Door, which is set to air a repeat on Friday, July 3, 2026.

How Did Amanda and Clive Owen Meet?

The couple first met in 1995 when Amanda was 21 and Clive was 42. At the time, Clive was managing Ravenseat Farm, while Amanda was living alone in a cottage and working as a shepherdess. Amanda later revealed on their show that she had visited the farm to borrow a male sheep, known as a "tup."

"It was a slow burn thing," she said. "We kind of got to know each other. We made friends first then went out a little bit together."

When Did They Get Married?

Amanda and Clive were together for several years before marrying in 2000. The ceremony took place in the Yorkshire village of Muker, with Amanda riding her horse side-saddle to the event. Clive recalled the day during an episode of Our Farm Next Door: "We had a bit of a do in Muker, didn't we? Aye, what a hell of a day we had!"

How Many Children Do They Have?

Amanda and Clive share nine children. Their eldest, Raven, was born in 2001, followed by Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy. Amanda previously told The Guardian that she "had no dream to have an enormous family" and that "it just... happened."

Rise to TV Fame

The couple made their television debut in 2009 on Wainwright Walks: Coast to Coast with Julia Bradbury. They later appeared in The Dales in 2011. In 2018, they secured their own show, Our Yorkshire Farm, which ran for five series until 2022.

Announcement of Split

In 2022, Amanda took to Instagram to announce their separation: "Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family. Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."

Making It Work After the Split

Despite their separation, Amanda and Clive have continued to work together on the farm and on television. When Our Farm Next Door launched, Amanda acknowledged that they were "separate" but noted they remained "still husband and wife." Clive added: "Me and Mandy, we have had a strange few years and we're now in a place where although we are not actually together, we are still in business together, we still have these kids together."

He further commented: "Me and Amanda, for some crazy reason it's worked alright. We're not together, but we can keep things going to suit everybody and that's what we intend to do."

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and the Kids will air at 8pm on Channel 4 on Friday, July 3.
