Canadian pole vaulter and OnlyFans star Alysha Newman has secured a modelling audition with Victoria's Secret, just days after being banned from athletics for missing a series of drug tests. The 31-year-old athlete missed three doping tests over a 12-month period, resulting in a 20-month suspension for violating anti-doping whereabouts rules.
Although the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) accepted that Newman has effectively ended her career, they stated that she should have formally announced her retirement if that is her intention, a step she has yet to take. Newman, who won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has balanced her sporting career with content creation on OnlyFans in recent years. She went viral after celebrating her pole-vault success in Paris by twerking.
Now, seemingly stepping away from athletics, Newman has announced she will audition for a spot in the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In a TikTok video, she shared a screenshot of an email from the luxury lingerie brand confirming an invitation to an in-person casting. Newman has previously worked with major brands like Nike and has built a substantial following on OnlyFans.
Reflecting on her decision to join OnlyFans in 2022, Newman told the Daily Mail: 'Whether I liked it or not, I was sexualized in the sport naturally by what I wear, and my beauty. If I showed up in full leggings and a sports bra that covered my stomach, people would still sexualize me. It just never stops. When I decided to launch OnlyFans, it was really important for me to be a part of something I could control.'
Newman has until August 2026, when her doping ban expires, to decide whether to return to pole vaulting. A whereabouts failure is an anti-doping rule violation that occurs when an athlete fails to provide accurate location information or is unavailable for scheduled testing. Athletes must regularly update their location via a mobile app and provide a one-hour window for testing.
The AIU reported that Newman was unavailable for doping control visits on February 27, August 17, and August 2023 in 2025. During the third visit, Newman told a doping official she 'had to leave immediately to participate in the filming of a television game show.' Newman explained to the AIU that the missed tests 'occurred in the context of a period of significant personal and professional change, which she described as increasingly disorganised and overwhelming.'
Her ban was shorter than the typical two years because the AIU accepted her decision to quit athletics, calling it 'a sufficiently unique/exceptional factor that may be considered in assessing her level of fault in the matter.'
