Alison Hammond rushed off-air during Friday's edition of This Morning, leaving viewers concerned as Dermot O'Leary later explained her absence.
The presenter was hosting the show as usual with Dermot O'Leary, and they were presenting a phone-in with Dr Scott about pets at home. However, midway through his conversation with a caller, it sounded as though Alison had rushed out of the studio.
Viewers voice concern on X
Viewers were quick to share their concerns on X, with one writing: "What on earth has happened with Alison? Hope she's okay." Another said: "I mean, I don't know about anyone else but I just can't concentrate on this phone-in now."
"Is Alison okay??" another commented. Someone else added: "This is all rather weird, they all seem distracted by something happening off-screen. Whenever they cut to Dermot or Scott they're clearly looking at something else going on."
Another viewer said: "What on earth is going on?!" to which someone replied: "They all looked shook up."
Dermot explains Alison's absence
After This Morning returned from a break, Dermot addressed Alison's absence from the show, saying: "Welcome back to This Morning, Alison is feeling a little unwell, so she's just had to duck out. Hopefully she'll be back."
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX. The Mirror has approached ITV for comment.
