Alison Hammond has opened up about a romantic proposal she received from a mystery man, describing it as the 'most beautiful' she has ever had. The This Morning presenter shared the intimate details during a segment on public proposals with Holly Willoughby, Gyles Brandreth, and Camilla Tominey.
Recalling the private moment, Hammond said: 'I didn't get very many proposals in my life but there were two that I did get. I won't say who it was because then it would be exposed but, they did it in private in my bedroom, I was in my nightie, I had no makeup on and it was the most beautiful proposal I have ever had in my life.'
Holly Willoughby also shared her own proposal story, revealing that her husband Dan proposed while she was in the bath. Gyles Brandreth joked about the casual settings, noting that he was wearing a three-piece suit when he proposed to his wife.
Hammond has kept her love life largely private. In June 2022, she told This Morning viewers she had a 'secret boyfriend' of two years. In February 2023, reports suggested the man was landscape gardener Ben Hawkins, but by March she declared she was single. Before the split, rumours of an engagement had circulated but were never confirmed.
The TV star was previously married to Noureddine Boufaied, with whom she shares son Aiden, 18. She was also engaged to security guard Jamie Savage in 2014, but they called off the engagement in 2017.
