Alex Scott has revealed her intention to marry partner Jess Glynne, as the former footballer faces potential elimination from I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! The 41-year-old is up for the first eviction on Friday night, alongside Aitch, Kelly Brook, Martin Kemp, Jack Osbourne, Ruby Wax and AngryGinge.
During her time in the jungle, Scott spoke candidly about their relationship. When campmate Ruby Wax asked if she would marry Glynne, Scott replied: 'I will get married to her, just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!' The Grammy-winning singer later hinted she is considering buying an engagement ring, telling Hits Radio: 'The pressure is on... I went to the shop straight after.'
The couple have been together for two years, with Scott explaining how their romance began: 'Jess approached me in Chiltern Firehouse... I was like, I like your ballsiness, and then the spark was just instant.' Glynne has shown her support by wearing a T-shirt reading 'Alex for the win' during a recent performance.
On This Morning, Glynne joked about buying a ring when asked, adding: 'Why do I have to ask her? You never know who will ask who.' She also acknowledged secret signals from Scott, such as twiddling her necklace, which host Alison Hammond interpreted as a sign of affection.
