Sam Heughan and Alan Cumming faced off over the weekend to determine who is the greatest Scottish celebrity, but fans had other ideas. The two stars went head-to-head in a lighthearted contest at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, where Cumming interviewed the Outlander actor about his career.
Lighthearted Competition
In a tongue-in-cheek video shared on Instagram by the theatre, the pair donned kilts and pretended to film a Netflix documentary titled 'Who is America's Favourite Scot'. The caption read: "Alan Cumming vs. Sam Heughan...who gets your vote?!"
Although the skit was clearly a joke, fans enthusiastically weighed in with their choices. Many struggled to pick between the two, with one commenter saying: "Between these two legends, the only correct answer is…both."
David Tennant Emerges as Winner
However, David Tennant was repeatedly mentioned in the comments, effectively becoming the winner. One response sparked a wave of support: "You two are lovely buuuuttt David Tennant." Others echoed this, with comments like "Came here to say but where is David?" and "David Tennant!!!! Always."
