Alan Carr has admitted that his friendship with Paloma Faith is over after he 'murdered' her early on in the celebrity edition of The Traitors. The comedian, 49, is a traitor on the BBC show and chose to eliminate the singer, 44, in plain sight during the first episode.
Speaking on his Life's A Beach podcast, Carr told DJ Norman Cook: 'Well, I was...' when asked if they were still mates. He explained that Faith had said a 'real friend' wouldn't have killed her, but he reminded her that the show 'does what it says on the tin' as a Traitor. He plans to make it up by taking her out for dinner, adding: 'No one wants to be murdered first on a show. I panicked!'
Faith, appearing on spin-off show Uncloaked, was shocked to learn Carr was a traitor alongside Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns. She said: 'These are three of my favourite people. I hope they never call me again, I mean that.' She later softened, saying she finds forgiveness easy and that she loves him, but still feels 'even more betrayed now' after watching the episode.
