Adrian Edmondson Opens Up About Weight Loss After Decade-Long Health Battle

Comedian and actor Adrian Edmondson has revealed he lost weight following a 10-year health issue. The star, known for his roles in The Young Ones and Bottom, spoke about his transformation during a recent interview.

Edmondson, 66, said he spent five months in Thailand filming a TV series based on the Alien films. He credited his healthier lifestyle for the weight loss, though he did not provide specific details about the health problem.

The actor also discussed his memoir, Berserker!, in which he reflects on his childhood and career. He described growing up on plain food like pilchard and tomato sandwiches, and how he later became an excellent home cook, winning Celebrity MasterChef.

Edmondson touched on his relationship with late comedy partner Rik Mayall, saying: 'I don't think I ever fell out with Rik. But things became thinner.' He also spoke about his wife, Jennifer Saunders, and their three daughters.

The comedian admitted to having intrusive suicidal thoughts in the past, which he was surprised to learn not everyone experiences. He said writing his memoir helped him process difficult memories, including being caned at boarding school.
