Adam Thomas, the winner of I'm A Celebrity... South Africa, reportedly threw his flower crown to the floor and stormed off stage after a heated clash with former boxer David Haye during the live final on Friday night.
According to reports, Haye goaded Thomas by saying he was 'not a worthy winner', prompting Thomas to fume: 'This is bullying.' The Waterloo Road star then allegedly threw his crown and retreated to his dressing room with his brothers and wife.
The tension between Thomas and Haye, along with ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard, had been building throughout the series. Thomas previously revealed that Haye's comments 'broke' him after the boxer called him 'useless' for declining a trial due to a medical condition.
Gemma Collins, a friend of Thomas, expressed her disgust at the behaviour of Haye and Bullard on social media, calling it 'the biggest show up in TV history'. Meanwhile, Bullard reportedly believes he was 'stitched up' by ITV in the final edit and is considering legal action.
Thomas later took to social media to reflect on his journey, stating: 'I walked through this journey with my heart first... It was not always easy, there were moments that could have broken me, but I stayed true to myself.'
An ITV spokesperson said: 'We showed an accurate and fair representation of events. Suggesting ITV favours anyone is an incorrect and harmful accusation.'
